Guest Speaker: Karen Bullock

Karen is Professor and Head of the School of Social Work at North Carolina State University. She has a Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Work from Boston University and a Master’s degree (M.S.) in Social Work, from Columbia University. She has spent a career working in the areas of serious illness and health disparities, and has a compelling personal story that she shares as a guest editor for the recent NCMJ special edition on Serious Illness.
