Steve Stonecypher, Regional Coordinator for the Carolina Aging Alliance, joins Friday Facts to discuss the program’s ongoing work in central North Carolina as an extension of SAGE, a national advocacy and services organization for LGBTQ+ people over 50.
Stonecypher shares his own experience as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and as a caregiver as well as insights about the evolving needs of an aging LGBTQ+ population and how Coalition members and allies can respond in their own spheres of influence to create inclusive space.
