Ms. Elaine Whitford is a seasoned nonprofit and legal executive currently serving as Executive Director of The Center for Volunteer Caregiving in Cary, North Carolina. With over a decade of leadership in mission-driven organizations, she has advanced programs that support vulnerable populations through volunteer engagement and community partnerships. Prior to her current role, Ms. Whitford served as Director of Development at Disability Rights North Carolina and held leadership positions in development and communications with the Neuse Riverkeeper Foundation.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Whitford practiced law as both an attorney and partner, bringing a strong foundation in legal strategy and governance to her nonprofit leadership. She holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
